Today The Serpent, a thriller suspended between lust for vengeance and lust for bondage, opens in Great Britain.

Here are the basic premises: Vincent Mandel is a photographer caught up in an ugly divorce and fighting for custody of his children. His already troubled existence is blown apart by the appearance of a ghost from his past: Joseph Plender.
Seductive, sympathetic, Plender is nonetheless utterly ruthless, a predator motivated by pure hatred towards former classmate Vincent, and hungry for vengeance.

Inspire by Ted Lewis' novel Plender, the movie is directed by Eric Barbier. Starring Yvan Attal (Munich) & Clovis Cornillac. In the streaming area you can find the trailer and an interview with Olga Kurylenko, who talks about her character (Sofia) and the delicate art of bondage.
